Being a Mouth Piece for Jesus

Being a Mouth Piece for Jesus
By Minister Roland F. St. Gerard

“The most eloquent prayer is the prayer through hands that heal and bless.”
-Billy Graham

The author of the epistle of Hebrews tells us that the Word of God is alive and powerful (Hebrews 4:12).
God’s word is medicine for healing and to maintain a robust health.
Solomon declared, “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh” (Proverbs 4:20-22).

Declaration of God’s Word
While God’s word generates health and healing, it takes God’s children – God’s servants to declare the word, and for God to confirm His word with signs and wonders.

Jesus came to heal, to save, to liberate the captives, but it will take His followers to be His mouth piece, hands and feet to execute His heart’s desire.

Jesus stated such mission of His when He was given the book of Isaiah to read while in the Jewish synagogue. In Luke 4:18, He read, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He hath sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruise.”

After He was raised from the dead, he declared that all authority in heaven and on earth is given to Him. Then, in that authority, He commissioned the disciples and all future disciples to go make disciples from every nation and teach them what He taught us.

There is a hurting world out there. Out there might be in the homes, in the churches, among the youth, and in discouraging church workers and pastors. Jesus is the solution. He is the head, the authority and provision. We are the body with the hands and feet to fulfill Jesus dreams and mission upon this earth. No wonder He said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father” (John 14:12).

Prayer:
Lord, we thank You for accepting to come on the earth to teach us the way and to teach about eternal life. Thank you for dying and resurrecting for us. Thank you for presently interceding for us.
Forgives Lord for being complacent about the hurting, the hopeless, the widows and the orphans. Grant us Your grace to have a burning desire coupled with a compassionate heart, so that we can execute Your heart’s desire to bring healing, health and eternal life to the dying world.
In the name of Jesus. Amen.
